I love this “You Are Pawesome” stamp and accompanying die set from Simon Says Stamp (SSS). I rarely purchase the accompanying dies with stamps, but this one I picked up in a destash and I LOVE it! Uh oh…I see the need for a higher craft budget in my future! LOL
I recently watched a video by Kristina Werner in which she colored a cat stamp in various colors. This SSS cat was a little more simple, but I decided to try my had at various Copic color combinations (I don’t have all the colors Kristina Werner used), and I really had fun creating my own little striped trio of kitties for my crafty friend Becky (YT: AuntBecscreations).
Here are the colors I used:
Grey kitty: W1, 3, 5, and 9 with an E04 nose and inside ears
Red brown kitty: E51, 33, 19 (adding a little reddish undertone), 37, and 39 with an E04 and E37 nose
Yellow orange kitty: E51, Y21, Y32, E13 and 0 (colorless blender to soften)
As for the backgrounds, I just used a graphic chevron scrap from the Amy Tangerine “Sketchbook” collection and a soft paw print scrap that I had left over from some packaging from a YT friend’s gift. I tore some of the edges and inked it with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Antique Photo and Walnut Stain. I also inked around the entire card with Black Soot. I find that inking the edges of projects adds a nice finished look.
I hand wrote in the “You are” with a 0.3 tip Copic multiliner pen, and I die cut out the “Pawesome” three times and glued them together to give the word a little dimension. To make the word fit better on the card, I cut the word apart and eliminated the center “e”.

I had no idea what ICAD Meant Until this challenge . I think your card came out so cute . Love the different kitty’s playing around on the card . The chevron looks so nice with the yellow . Sentiments are really cute … Great job !
