“The Lucky One” St. Patrick’s Day Tag | CraftyPaws

I’m trying to get into the St. Patty’s day spirit and remind myself that I am truly blessed and lucky, even though I spent the morning in traffic court and will be spending this Saturday at defensive driving class. (sigh)

I created this lucky-themed tag for my lovely friend, Julie (YT: Thriftypapergarden). I started with a foam core base which I covered with patterned papers. The background of the shamrocks and four leaf clover is a free printable that I found online (there are tons out there!). I used Glossy Accents on every other shamrock and used Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents on the gold four leaf clover.

20150309_152827The super cute C.C. Designs “Irish Emma”, is colored with the following Copic colors:
Skin: E50, 51, and 53 with Blush: R30
Hair: E97,  07 and 19
Black part of dress: C7 and 9
Green part of dress: G16 and 19
White socks: C1 and Colorless blender 0
Shoes: C1, 5, 7 and 9
I also used a gold metallic Gelly Roll pen to color in the the clovers on her dress and add some dot details to her dress and shoes.

To add some softness, texture and interest, I added some lovely floral, velvet, and braided ribbons and trims in greens of different hues from my stash–all gifted to me by super sweet crafty YT friends. I used them horizontally across different points of the tag as well as in a tassle at the top.

Lastly I added gold glitter all around the edge of the tag. I have a love hate relationship with glitter. I love the way it looks, but I hate the way it gets everywhere.  This is how much I love Julie! 🙂

The following is a video share of this tag:

This tag is being entered into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great, lucky day! WOOF
