The Greeting Farm Cheshire Bean Card

I just love this little The Greeting Farm Cheshire Bean image stamp, but boy was I intimidated to tackle coloring her up with Copic markers! Her hair had so many waves in it! I have colored her up before, but that was with a much more forgiving water coloring technique using Distress Markers (click HERE for the post on that card).

But this time I thought I just need to take my time and color up each segment of her hair thinking about the light source and where it would hit all those beautiful curls. 🙂 I really like how her hair coloring turned out and now I feel like I can tackle any coloring project! LOL

I used the following Copic colors:
Hair and outside of fox ears: E97, 99 and 29
Skin: E50, 51, 53 and R11
Inside of fox ears: R30 and 11
Dress, shoes and hair ties: G43, 46 and 29 with W1 shading for ruffle collar

To frame the image, which I fussy cut and glued onto a small polka dot print paper, I used a scrap of vellum that I ran through a Darice paw print embossing folder. For all the other patterned papers I used the Pebbles “Sunny Side” collection. The “smile” die cut is from a Little Yellow Bicycle “Love Laugh Smile” word die set. I layered that on a hand cut banner and then accented both ends of the banner with two small green buttons that I threaded with green and white bakers twine.
