St. Patrick’s Day Cards | CraftyPaws

These St. Patrick’s Day cards were made almost exclusively with Diemond Dies and some card stock. For the rainbows, I used theĀ Die-Normous Stack-Ems Circle Nesting Die Set. I started with the largest circle die and skipped every other circle until I had enough to create the 6 colored rings of the rainbow.

20150305_105241The pot for the pot of gold was also made with a circle die from the same die set. I used the 9th circle (counting from the smallest circle out) a couple of times and cut away parts of the circles, flipping the smaller piece to create a kind of lip for the pot.

The leprechaun diving into the pot of gold was made with the Diemond Dies Witches Boot die set. Making them with sparkly glitter paper or adding buckles I think helps make them look more elfish or leprechaun-ish than witchy. šŸ™‚ I used a gold metallic Gelly Roll pen to draw in simple buckles on the black boots.

To create a base for the pot of gold, I also used the Diemond Dies Grass Border Die. One one card I cut out three rows of grass and glued them down to create a textured grassy look. On the other card, I used the die to create a stencil and inked in the grass. Ā For this latter card, in order to get the pot to look like it is nestled in the grass, I also cut away the bottom of the pot with the grass die. Clever, right?! LOL

The sentiments I simply printed out on my computer with a free Irish-y font I downloaded (EasyLombardic Two). Lastly I added some Champagne gold Stickles to the tops of each pot and some Glossy Accents to the top of one pot to add some sparkle and shine.
