“Self Portrait” Index Card | CraftyPaws

A lot of folks in the crafting community have been asking crafty friends to make simple index cards (ICs) that share information about them and have something on the front that represents them. This is a crafty version of the old Rolodex. 🙂

I made this one to gift to a crafty friend, Tina (YT: tellHimthanku) and decided to create a kind of self portrait with my pups on the front. I used The Greeting Farm’s Re-Mix Happy stamp set for me and the pup on the right (representing Bandito) and I doodled the poodle modeled after a Penny Black Mimi in Paris stamp (but smaller to represent Biscuit).

I used the following Copic colors to color everything up:
Skin: E00, E21 and R20
Hair: B02, C7 and C9
Reds throughout: R35, 37 and 39 with a healthy coating of clear Wink of Stella for added sparkle!
Dark and light Blues throughout: B02, 28 and 29
Background: B000 and 00
Woodgrain floor: E55 and 59
Poodle: E30, 21, 11 and 13
HavaneseL E35, E39, W0 and white Sakura Gelly Roll Pen

Then, because I did all the stamping and coloring on a single layer piece of card stock, there was no fussy cutting necessary! Woot woot! I just cut a sparkly glittered card stock frame using the smaller of the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Frame dies and then glued the whole thing onto the 3″ x 5″ index card base. I cut the tab using a We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and just cut away the sides with scissors after I punched the indentations about an inch apart.

The back has a bunch of personal information that Tina asked for (not too personal, more like favorite crafty style and color) as well as a real picture of me and my pups. The following is a video share of this IC:
