This card was completely inspired by the beautiful die cut image in fabulous pinks and golds that was gifted to me by my crafty friend, Carol (YT: Carol Nivens Watson). It had such a feminine aspect to it with the perfume bottles, nail polishes, butterflies, etc. I decided I wanted to make an easel card to really highlight the image.
I started with a tangerine Bassil card stock base, matted the image askew with pink card stock, and then I just went to town embellishing. I added a fancy satin and lacy ribbon to create a stopper, topped that with pink bling trim, and framed the image with pale lavender flower trim. I wanted the butterflies in the image to appear as though they had flown out of the image so I added lots more die cut and punched out butterflies.
The grounding or whimsy of this card comes from the quote by YSL that I found online. He said, “The most beautiful makeup of a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy.” LOL
