I can’t adequately express how thrilled I am thatĀ Dee, the owner and creator of DiemondDies.com, asked meĀ to be a guest Design Team (DT) member. They have high quality, well-priced, gorgeously detailed dies and I can’t wait to dig in and make more projects with the dies I chose for my DT package. Ā NOTE: If making a purchase at DiemondDies, use the coupon code: thankskristina Ā for an extra 10% off and FREE shipping on purchases over $35 (US and Int’l).
This first layout is one that is close to my heart. Obviously, itĀ features my furry babies, Bandito and Biscuit, but it also expresses my blog moto and words that I truly try to live by. One of my career mentor’s, who has since passed away, instilled and ingrained this slogan into me, and I believe that if you follow it, you won’t have regrets. I am sharing this layout also as my entry into KittyScrapper’s 30th Birthday Challenge.
I think the grass die cuts from DiemondDies as well as the few little animals I added from a couple of Lawn Fawn stamp sets I colored with my Copic markers and fussy cut, added as super cute and comical flair to these pics of my babies. This treatment was inspired by Chari Moss (a DT member for Lawn Fawn). Ā It adds bright color and whimsy, and it is really easy! Ā HINT: If you want to add a little extra somethin’ somethin’ consider using a pin to punch tiny holes along the edge of the grass die cuts to create a fun faux stitching look.
The papers I used were from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neopolitan collection, the DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies Stack, and the Deja Views Dog Days Scrapbooking Kit. I also used my EK Success paw print edge punch and my Fiskars paw print punch to add some extra doggy flavor. š
