Pandorable! | CraftyPaws

Before I put away the adorable The Greeting Farm “Wild Child” and Mama Elephant’s “Pandamonium” stamps sets, I decided to make one more card.

I did some all-over stamping with Simon Says Stamp Cobblestone Premium Dye Ink of the pandas. I wanted them to be softer in the background so I opted for this warm grey cobblestone color, and I like how it turned out. I also added little doodles of stars, hearts and dots with Tim Holtz Distress Markers in Tattered Rose, Mustard Seed and Spun Sugar.

20160317_123312Then to create a clean, white background for the little Wild Child girl in the panda hoodie, I used the largest of the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Cross-Stitched Rectangles STAX and glued that off-kilter to go along with the pandamonium dancing pandas in the background. For the “ground” I just used a bit of grey and white striped washi tape.

For the adorable little girl, I used these Copic colors:
Skin: E50, 51, 53 and R20
Hair: E55, 57, 59, 79
Socks: C1 and Bow: R85 and 89 then coated with Glossy Accents
Then I used a floral patterned paper and a pale green polka dot paper, both from my scrap box to paper piece the little girl’s panda hoodie and skirt.

To maintain some continuity from the front of the card to the inside, I used the remaining scraps from the patterned papers I used on the paper piecing of the little girl. I fussy cut out a butterfly and some flowers from the floral paper and used the green polka dot paper to mat the notation area, which I cut out again with the Cross-Stitched Rectangle STAX die. The punny sentiment I used was from the Fiskars’ Beary Fun Ours stamp set.
