Oh my goodness, I can’t describe to you how amazing it feels to finally finish this album for a girls trip I took almost 3 years ago! As part of my new years resolutions, I decided to tackle all those unfinished craft projects that I tucked into my craft closet over the years.
I had sorted through the hundreds of pictures (even printed them out), collected ephemera and gathered so many papers and embellishments to make this scrapbook but just kept putting it off. Well, I finally did it. I kept it simple, just hand journaling (usually I’m neurotic and type and print all journaling) using my Fineliner Arteza Pens of different colors (to match my layout color schemes).
I also used old 12 x 12 paper pads (all retired): Tim Holtz “Idea-ology,” DCWV “Tattered Time,” and Craft Smith “Uptown Chic” and “Travel the World.”
One positive thing about crafty procrastinating is that you have a lot of time to gather and collect supplies for a project. I powered through this scrapbook in just 3 days since I had everything in a HUGE pile ready to go. I had canvas tags, stickers, airmail patterened tags, ribbons, and even fully finished cards (for hidden journaling) that I had crafted right after our trip.
These are three projects that I had done in anticipation of making this album:
Kiss Me I’m Irish Embellishments using CC Designs 4 Leaf Puppy This CC Designs stamp is retired, but the same puppy (sans 4 leaf clover) is part of THIS Puppy Power set.
Bon Voyage Air Lingus Card The Lawn Fawn Plane and Simple stamp set is perfect for anything travel-themed.
Edinburgh Scene Card using The Greeting Farm girls from Happy Remix stamp set, Crafty Individuals Town House Rows stamp, and Katzelkraft Clouds stamp
I won’t go into all the detail that went into each layout, but if you’re interested in a bit of a description, CLICK on the following picture to watch of sharing video:
