Multiple Sliders Card Tutorial | CraftyPaws

When I saw a card by Amy Y. (IG: sharingnewlove) that had this multiple slider card design, and I knew I wanted to try to re-create it using the Clearly Besotted “Caped Cuties” stamp set and the awesomely versatile Diemond Dies Die-Normous Stack-Ems Circle Nesting Die Set. Ā

20160617_123700 smFirst I wanted to create a clean and simple sky background. So I made aĀ maskĀ of a cloud bank and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tumbed Glass to blend on a sky. I did it twice so that my 5″ x 7″ card base had the same background as my card front and the slider tracks I created would have more of a continuous, cohesive look.

Then I stamped out three of the caped cuties from the stamp set that looked like they were in flightĀ with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid InkĀ and colored them up with the following Copic markers:
Bunny: 0, N0, N2, RV21, RV23, RV25
Bear: E51, E53, B63, B66, B69
Turtle: Y13, YG01, YG25, YG17, B000
I fussy cut those out and inked the edges with a black felt tip pen so the white edge of the paper wouldn’t show.

Next I made the slider mechanism behind each cutie with some double sided foam adhesive and some cut circles. Lastly I die cut two overlapping circle tracks using the 10th and 12th largest circles from the circle nesting die set (it has 20!).Ā Note: My readers can get 10% off and free worldwide shipping at Diemond Dies on all orders of $35 or more by using the coupon code “thankskristina” at check out! The following video shows the entire card constructionĀ process from start to finish:

I think this card is super fun, and it is really easy to make. While I made this card for a crafty friend, I know I’ll be making another one for my young nephew for his birthday next month. šŸ™‚
