I wanted to make a digi for a crafty friend of mine in Canada, Rebekah (YT: IAMMAMA24). She is currently hosting a coloring challenge and asked that folks just color up an image and send it to her.
I thought, how perfect to be able to support her and participate in her challenge while making my latest free digi! This girl and her cat are called “Kitty Love.”
I actually drew up and colored an earlier version of this digi as well, but this morning I woke up and thought this type of cat probably has a fluffy tail so I re-drew it.Ā LOL
I paper pieced the head bands and the dresses on both images, using W1 to add some shading as I thought appropriate. Ā The following are the rest of the Copic colors I used (they are the same for both versions): HAIR: Y21, YR24, E15, E25 and E29; SKIN: E000, 00 and 11; BLUSH: R30; SHOES: C9; EYES: YT95, 97 and 99; CAT:Ā E50,Ā W1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and NOSE: 100; CAT EYES: B00 and 05. Ā I also used my white gelly roll pen to add white highlights to the girl’s eyes and the cat’s eyes. Ā I fussy cut both colored and paper pieced images out so that Rebekah could easily use them in projects of her choosing. š
