I wanted to create a personalized card for whoever was the lucky random winner of my hop stop for the Hey Jude Card YT Hop from 2 weeks ago so I made another peekaboo inside-out card with a similar design to the one I shared HERE. While the construction was the same using the Darice Love Theme Embossing Essentials die set to create the peekaboo component, this time I used a cute stamp of a fashionable girl riding on a Vespa with her pup from A Random Fan Sherry T Designs called, “Wanderlust.”

I used the heart trio from the stamp set to stamp a background pattern for the card front with Simon Says Stamp Rose Apple Premium Ink. It stayed just wet long enough to heat emboss it with clear embossing powder to give it a little texture and shine. However, because I accidentally double stamped one of the heart trios, I ended up outlining each heart with Copic R14 to soften all the edges and camouflage the mistake. I also Copic colored the inside of all the hearts with R20. The background pattern was better, but I decided to add more dot trios with the R14 and with a Uniball Signo White Gel Pen to fill in the background more. This was a big improvement, but I still wanted a bit more pop so I added larger dots with the R20 and outlined each of these bigger dots with the white gel pen. Finally, this got the card front looking like a full patterned paper and I was satisfied. 🙂

I made this an inside out card so the sentiment, which I printed from my computer, reads: “Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend, never had a dog.” is on the inside along with the stamped Wanderlust image. Then it was a matter of Copic coloring these cuties with the following colors:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
Goggles, Vespa and pup’s tongue: R24, R27 and R29
Exhaust hearts: C00, B91, R30
Goggle glass and Vespa headlight: B91 and B32
Striped shirt, boots, scarf, belt and tires: B32, C7 and C9
Dress (don’t you think she looks fashion-forward and hip? — I’d wear this outfit!): B63, B66 and B69
Vespa seat and tire rims: C1, C3, C5 and B91
Puppy: E51, E55, W0
I also added highlight markings on the goggles, puppy’s nose, and Vespa with the Uniball Signo White Gel Pen.

I left the hair uncolored, until I heard back from the winner of my hop stop, who was, Sue (YT: msmartinigirl1). Congratulations Sue! She picked brown hair for the girl’s hair and black and brown for the pup (so I added W5 and W7). I will include this customized card along with the My Favorite Things Playful Pups stamp set and the Rescue Digital Stamp from HeyJudeCards Etsy shop.
