I was so honored when the lovely ladies of studio6creations asked me to join them for their April 2015 YouTube hop (my video attached below has links to all of their YouTube channels). This month the challenge was to select three items from the following six prompts and use them in an assigned type of project (mine was a 12 x 12 layout): Heidi Swapp sprays, stickers, enamel dots, watercolors, raindrops and modeling paste.
I finally got a chance to scrap a picture of my baby Bandito that my hubby had taken after one of our weekend walks. As his lolling tongue shows that he is tired, but I think his bright eyes and smile exude happiness.
I used pastel raindrop and floral papers along with chip board stickers from the Basic Grey Fresh Cuts collection, Liquitex modeling paste mixed with acrylic paint with the Tim Holtz Rays layering stencil, a handful of sweet heart enamel dots, and some delicate crochet trim and flower trim from Michaels. I fought the urge to add more flowers since Bandito is a boy dog and I didn’t want to give him a complex. LOL
To add a little shimmer and shine, I used a Gelly Roll pen in Clear Star to color in the “HAPPY” of the chipboard sticker that says, “You make me happy when skies are grey;” applied Glossy Accents to some of the raindrops on the background paper; and coated the rainbow and flower of the chipboard stickers with Clear Wink of Stella.
Confession time: I thought that our video loading time for the hop was on Sunday rather than Saturday at noon (ET). By the time I realized my mistake, I only had 2 hours to create, record the process, edit the video, narrate, and load to YouTube. I felt a bit like a contestant on Chopped or one of those other timed competition shows. Anyway, with the extra thrill of a time constraint, I had even more fun! 😀

What an absolutely charming page! I am so drawn to the bright happy colors and love how you arranged those rays of sunshine with the raindrops. The combination of patterns and elements is quite genius! I like how you threw the floral design in, too, and those hearts surrounding Bandito are the perfect touch!
