Oh it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! I just received the latest holiday die release from Diemond Dies and can I just say, “LOVE it!” The video down below shows the new release as well as a share of a couple of ornaments (including this one) that I made within the first 2 hours of receiving these dies (before jumping on a plane to go visit my grandmother-in-law for her 100th birthday celebration–I just couldn’t wait!).
This is a quick post, as I am running to her senior center to start decorating in 15 minutes. But here are the Copic colors I used to color up the cutie from The Greeting Farm’s Remix Happy stamp set:
Hair: B01, C7 and C9
Skin: E000, 00, 21, and R20
Red: R35, 37 and 39
Yellow: Y15, Y38, YR24
Green: YG11, 25 and 17
I did alter her outfit just a little by drawing in a little collar and adding long sleeves to her dress with a 0.1 point Copic Multiliner pen since I wanted her to be dressed warmly enough to be out in the snow (LOL).
I used the Diemond Dies Die-Normous Stack-Ems Circle Nesting Die Set and the new Nesting Christmas Ornament Die SetĀ to make this adorable shaker window using (from bottom to top): white card stock on which I blended some Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Ink; a white card stock snowy ground made with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders Die Set; two layers of fun foam for the thickness; a fun mix of seed beads, sequins and icy snowflake confetti; a piece of acetate (salvaged from some packaging); and a scrap of gold glittered card stock. Then to finish it off, I tied a bit of red and white baker’s twine into a bow and added a red satin ribbon to make a hanging loop to the back.

Super fast, fun and cute! My first handmade ornament of the year! š YAY! This went right onto our tree (which only has handmade ornaments on it) as an early little Christmas gift for my hubby (I had put it into an advent baggie) before I went to the airport.
The following is a video sharing the new Diemond Dies release as well as an explanation of how I put together this shaker ornament:
