DIY Embellishments | CraftyPaws

Wanna great way to make custom embellishments? And, oh yeah, bonus, you get to use up tons of scraps! My crafty friend, Irene (YT: Craftyirina) is a master at making up little embellishments from scraps of papers, doilies, little flowers, paper clips, etcetera. I, on the other hand, am easily bored and have a hard time making more than a few of any one thing. LOL  These little banner embellies, however, were really fun and easy to make so I think I’ll be making more (although with different embellie focal pieces to keep my interest).

20150420_153329I printed out a few meaningful words and cut them into banners, used scraps from my scrap box to cut out larger banners, an EK Success circle scalloped punch, bits of paper doily, and a Creative Memories circle punch to assemble some fun and easy decorative embellishments that can be used on cards, layouts, or any kind of paper project.  The main focal point of them were the hand made dogwood flowers that are so fast and easy to make with the Diemond Dies Dogwood Flowers dies.  If interested in how to make these realistic flowers, please check out the video HERE.

Remember my readers can get 10% off and free shipping on all orders of $35 or more at Diemond Dies by using the coupon code: thankskristina

The following is a video share of the project (PS: I also included an extra light Steampunk styel one as well as a little doggy themed one):

The Steampunk banner embellishment is being entered into the following challenges:
Naughty or Nice In Bloom Challenge
Card Mania Flowers Challenge

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a wonderful crafty day! WOOF
