Diemond Dies Dress Form Card | CraftyPaws

I made this card using the Diemond Dies dress form die (as well as the Labels 1 Nesting Die set). When I originally received this dress form die as part of my design team package, I wondered if I would get much use out of it. After all, I’m not a real girly girl. Would I be able to make something feminine and vintage that would appeal to my taste too?

Happily, I think this card came out better than I imagined, and I got the opportunity to use up a lot of scrap laces and trims (one of my favorite things to do)! The dress form has a wonderful shape that is perfect to wrap with bits and snippets of lace and crocheted trim. Add a little bit of tiny flat back pears around the “neck” and you have a really feminine and pretty dress form! After this card, I now know I’ll be using this die a LOT. LOL

I layered behind the dress form, different scraps of papers in aqua and pink that I inked the edges of with my Victorian Velvet Tim Holtz Distress Ink and my American Crafts green ink. That inking (which I often used to skip) really makes a big difference and gives a wonderful finished look (esp. in vintage projects).

The following is a video sharing this card:

This card is also being entered into the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge and
the Friday Mashup Die Cut Challenge

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! WOOF
