I am so excited to join all the designers of Diemond Dies who are posting YouTube (YT) videos sharing the card candy that they made featuring the latest release from Diemond Dies. At each stop along the YT hop you can win a $10 gift certificate and the card candy that each designer shares. You don’t have to comment on each video, but the more comments you leave, the better are your chances of winning!

For my traditional under the sea card candy set, I created the backgrounds by spraying Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays in Primrose, Mustard, Navy and Seafoam on 40 lb Strathmore watercolor paper. I love the shimmer and the visual depth you can achieve with these sprays. I die cut the largest seahorse from the Diemond Dies Seahorses Die Set, the smallest starfish from the Starfish Die Set, and the goldfish from the Little Fishy Die, all from a beautiful gold foil demask print paper. I also used the Diemond Dies Cherry Blossom Branch Die to create some “coral” around which the seahorse could wrap its tail. 🙂 Everything is inked around the edges with Versafine black ink and to finish off the tag (made with the Diemond Dies Nesting Tag Die Set), I tied some remnant black satin ribbon and black twine through the top hole. Add a few sparkly bling stickers and voila!
For the cutsie Starfish Die Set card candy, I created multicolored starfish that I die cut from some watercolor paper that I inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Spiced Marmalade. I inked the edges of the starfish with Picked Raspberry to give them more definition, added spots on them with Tim Holtz Distress Markers in Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick, and drew in little smiley faces on them using a 0.3 pt. Copic multiliner pen. I used loads of Glossy Accents to give all the starfish a high shine. I printed out a variety of cute and simple sayings from my computer in a hot pink and added sequins and glittery stickers to add sparkle. The layered tag candy (also made with the Diemond Dies Nesting Tag Die Set) with the eyelash trim and white satin bow topper is decorated with glittery pink question marks and asks, “What kind of fish only swims at night?” The top-most candy answers, “STARFISH!” Oh I know, this is totally corny, but I love puns and couldn’t help myself!
