There is something about the style and attitude of the Creeper Crew characters by The Greeting Farm that I just love. I have been lucky enough to pick up a few when they were on sale a few months ago, but I have not had a chance to color them up until today.

I decided to make an ATC (Artist Trading Card) for my friend Shann (YT: Art Junkie) for her 49th birthday using Wednesday because Shann is just that kind of spirited, creative and funky friend who I think could identify with Wednesday. LOL

I started with a scrap of handmade paper that had irregular black splatter on a white background. To introduce some color and shimmer, I sprayed it with Recollections Simply Pastel spray ink in blue and silver.  Then I futzed with a bit of string to go behind Wednesday for a well-placed bit of artistic “mess”.

To give Wednesday a place to stand, I cut apart some black lace that I layered behind an antique bronze metal filigree. To add a little more sparkle I added some gun metal grey bling to the filigree. For a little laugh, I added a black rubber spider in the upper right corner. Lastly I added the abbreviated sentiment, “HB2U” (short for happy birthday to you), which is the way I think Wednesday would wish someone a happy birthday. 😛

I used the following Copic colors to color up Wednesday:
Hair: C7, C9 and B01
Skin: E50, 51 and 53 with R20 blush
Blue sweater: B32 and B95
Blue eyes: B95 and B97
Striped tights: C1, 3, 5, and 7
Shoes: C5, 7 and 9
White shirt: C1
I also added Glossy Accents to her eyes and her shoes for a little shine.
