Boxers ATC and Drawing

I created this ATC (Artist Trading Card, a miniature work of art usually 2.5″ x 3.5″ but sometimes larger) entitled “Boxer XO” for an English friend, Theresa (YT: Theresa Carr). However, once I was done with the layering, adding the little tag, baker’s twine and felt words and flowers, I realized I wasn’t sure if Theresa’s boxers had prick ears or drop ears. I crossed my fingers as I started to search her Youtube channel for signs of her pups. Uh oh….

So clearly both of her dogs had drop ears. I knew I needed to draw something that would better represent her fur babies. After all, I had started this project wanting to make something especially for Theresa. I wasn’t going to stop short now.

So here is a picture of the drawing I did of two boxers that I hoped looked somewhat like Theresa’s. One looked smaller and older than the other, although I couldn’t be sure since the videos I watched showed them separately (and one of them only from one side and lying down). Anyway, I know I tried my best. 🙂

Aww you are so sweet. I love drawing animals (esp. dogs), and I don’t think I could stop if I wanted to! Someone recently told me she didn’t like pets, and asked if I was going to draw any non-pet digis. I thought, “yes, probably, but not for a while.” LOL There are LOTS of digis and stamps of cute girls and boys, but so few with dogs (IMHO).
