This ATC seemed to almost make itself. I used a scrap of patterned paper from my scrap box, which was Ā a teeny bit too small to go across the 2.5″ width. I thought about making up the difference with another scrap of paper, but then decided a little snippet of twine ribbon would add more texture and be more interesting.
That bit of ribbon also providedĀ me with a base onto which I could tie some antique brass charms. Ā Once I addedĀ the little crown, Eiffel Tower, and fleur de lis with the white and tan bakers twine that I tied into bows, I knew this was going to be a Parisian ATC. LOL
I then new I needed to find an image. I only have a few Parisian stamps and none were of the vintage style of this ATC, so I went online. I hunted for a fabulous girl image and found one that I thought had the perfect girl with attitude in an outrageous dress. The only thing was that I needed to change the modern photo into something more vintage. I downloaded the image and digitally altered it using paint.net. I lightened it, changed the colors, made it sepia toned, and then added a couple hits of pink using my Copic R20 on the cheeks and lips of the little girl. I also found a great quote by Coco Chanel, “A girl should be two things, classy and fabulous” and overlayed that on the image. I fussy cut the whole thing out and antiqued the edges before I put foam adhesive on the back and placed her down on the ATC. Voila! “Classy and Fabulous!” was done.
The following is a video share of the ATC:
