Get Well Card

by Jul 14, 2015

I have been wanting to make another get well card for my brother just to let him know that I am continuing to think of him and pray for him as he goes through all the things he needs to for dealing with his kidney disease.

20150714_143311I have also been wanting to use this adorable Stampendous “Cling Doctor Kiddo” stamp and “cased” an adorable card that I saw on Jenn Shurkus’ blog.  The band aid and prescription pill bottle stamps that I use in the background are from the Lawn Fawn “Get Well Soon” stamp set.

The following are the Tim Holtz Distress Markers that I used:
Hair and shoes: Black Soot
Skin: Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar
Blue pants and stethoscope: Salty Ocean
Blue shirt and dog collar: Tumbled Glass
Doctor’s coat and pale parts of dog: Antique Linen
Dog Spots: Vintage Photo
Prescription bottle: Salty Ocean, Antique Linen and Spun Sugar

I used Sakura Gelly Roll pens in metallic silver and Clear Star to add some sparkle to all the medical tools. I also covered all those tools, the prescription bottle, the eyes of the boy and the eyes and nose of the dog with Glossy Accents to add shine and dimension.

Rather than describe the step by step of making the card, here’s the whole process video:

This card is being entered into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Monday Challenge
Simon Says Stamp Furry Friends Wednesday Challenge
