Yes, another holiday has come, and this card maker has 1 card made in time! Eeek! Well, better late than never, I guess. I made this dog lovers masculine card by keeping it CAS, single layer, and monochromatic, but with little touches that I I hope will show the love and care that went into this card.
I used the Tiddly Inks “I Wuf You” stamp set (one of my all time favorites that I seem to go back to over and over) and Copic colored the pup holding the heart with the following colors:
Pup: W0, 1, 3 and 5
Heart and grassy ground: N0, 3, 4, 5, and 7
Bone letters: C1
I added white highlights to the pup’s eyes and nose with a Uniball Stabilo White Gel Pen and also added Glossy Accents for shine over the bone letters and the pup’s nose and eyes.
I doodled the thought bubbles with a Copic Multi-liner Pen in 0.05 pt and even added the tiny shadow lines on the lower sides of the thought bubbles just like the puppy stamp image has. Lastly I doodled in some grass so that the pup would have a place to sit. 🙂
I cut down a 1/2″ off the sides of the panel and popped it up with fun foam to adhere it to a card base, which I edged with two 3/8″ wide washi tapes–a grey stripe and a gun metal glitter. I like how only a 1/8″ sliver of the dark gun metal glitter washi shows beyond the card front panel. Somehow I think that is the perfect proportion for the edge details.
