This is my second and last guest designer project for The Greeting Farm<\/a><\/span> so I wanted to share a special card\u00a0that I made for my 23 year old nephew who is living and working in NYC. \u00a0As a young, professional man, the world is wide open to him,\u00a0and I wanted to send him this card to remind him to\u00a0enjoy the wonderful summertime life in the City (not just work and study\u00a0– which is his super serious nature). I’m sure he could be like Prince Charming\u00a0in Cinderella, with his pick of princesses if he chose to be enchanting (of which I know\u00a0he’s capable)! LOL \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

<\/a>To make this 3D accordion fold card, I used the Sizzix Accordion Flip 3D Album Die to create the structure with various 6 x 6 papers from the following paper collections: Pebbles “Sunny Side,” American Crafts “Spring,” and Doodlebug Designs “Lovebirds”.<\/p>\n

I used the Diemond Dies Daisy Flowers Die Set<\/a><\/span> to die cut lots of flower\u00a0power daisies\u00a0using scraps of patterned papers to match the paper pieced little princesses’ dresses. Everything I die cut out, I also inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass or Worn Lipstick. I used a Spellbinder’s Tool ‘n’ One to emboss some of the daisy flowers to add some depth and dimension\u00a0to the flowers. To\u00a0create The Dating Game logo\u00a0and the bachelorette signs in the colors I wanted, I used a free software program called www.paint.net and a free font called Bellbottom.Laser and printed them from my computer.<\/p>\n

\nPrincess Anya 4 (auburn):<\/strong> YR15, E15, E18, E23, and Y21
\nAll the skin was colored using varying amounts of: E000, 00, 21, 11 and R20; and all of the shading on the paper pieced clothing was done using\u00a0C1 and C3.<\/p>\n

To add a little sparkle to the girls’ crowns (because we can never have too much bling, right?), I used Stickles in Champagne<\/a><\/span>, Neon Flamingo<\/a><\/span>, Cranberry<\/a><\/span> and Ice Blue<\/a><\/span>. \u00a0I also added rhinestone gems in pink, clear, and ruby for the girls’ earrings.<\/p>\n
