I am so excited that I got to ink up\u00a0my new-to-me The Greeting Farm “Wild Child” stamp set<\/a> <\/span>as well as the Mama Elephant “Pandamonium” stamp set<\/a><\/span> that has been untouched in my stash for over six months (so many cute stamps, so little time — sigh) to make this CAS card for my mom’s birthday.<\/p>\n

I used my new My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid Ink Pad to ink up the images (and I filled in any gaps and darkened the details where I didn’t stamp well with a black Copic Multiliner pen in 0.3 pt).<\/p>\n

<\/a>I used the following Copic colors to color in the images, which I fussy cut out afterwards:
\nGirls’ skin: E000, E00, YR20 and R20 (I used the YR20 to give her a yellow undertone for an Asian look)
\nHair: C7, C9, B32
\nBow on hoodie: YG09 and G09
\nPanda hoodie: C1, C2, C5 and C7
\nGirl’s skirt: C2, C5, C8
\nPandas: C1, R30
\nAfter inking the edges of the fussy cut images, I glued together the\u00a0girl with the panda bears\u00a0to make it look like they were holding hands and then popped them all up on foam adhesive.<\/p>\n

For the background, I used a scrap from my scrap box from an old paper collection (sorry I don’t remember the name) that had yellow and green dragonflies with glittery sparkle.\u00a0The painterly quality and shape of the dragonfly wings reminded me of bamboo leaves, so\u00a0I thought they would be a nice backdrop for the dancing pandas. I matted this strip with black card stock and also added a strip of black card stock on top to give the girl and pandas a place to stand.<\/p>\n

I wanted a fun sentiment to go with the dancing trio, so I hand wrote in the title\u00a0of the C + C Music Factory song, “Everybody Dance Now” in an Asian-style font. LOL Lastly to add a little more sparkle and to finish off the card, I added five spots of\u00a0green and blue-green sequins with Glossy Accents.<\/p>\n
