I wanted\u00a0to create this CAS card with an\u00a0off-centered tilted white panel and a background stamped with fun colors. It’s a design that I saw ages ago (I can’t remember where) and it has been on my “to-try” list ever since. \u00a0I was a little short on time but needed a special thank you\/thinking of you card to go with the gift I picked up for the\u00a0nurse\u00a0coordinator, Elaine, who has helping my hubby get through all the hurdles and mishaps with his kidney donation\u00a0pre-op preparation (more on all of this incredible news\u00a0in the next post) so I thought this would be perfect. \u00a0I think Elaine will be tickled that we are remembering and thinking of her and all that she has done to help us through this very difficult time.<\/p>\n

<\/a>I pulled out Sassy Suzi from The Greeting Farm and Copic colored her\u00a0with some beautiful fall colors:
\nSkin: E50, 51, 53 and R30
\nHair: E11, 97, 99 and 29
\nJeans: B93, 95 and 97
\nShirt: C1 and 3
\nShearling Coat: G40, 24 and 46
\nShearling Fur (colored with a dotting technique): C3, 6 and 9<\/p>\n

For the background, I used three different thank you stamps from the awesome C.C. Designs Thanks a Bunch stamp set that I got from Happy Creating<\/a><\/span><\/span>. \u00a0To stick with the fall colors I used three Adirondack pigment inks in Juniper to stamp\u00a0“you are truly appreciated,” Terra Cotta for “many many thanks,” and Butterscotch for “thanks a bunch.”<\/p>\n

Because I am not a neat Copic colorer, I had to fussy cut out Sassy Suzi and glue her down to a clean white card stock, but I think it came out very clean looking. To add a little interest to the white panel and to help define it’s edge from the background paper that still had a lot of white space between the thanks sentiments, I drew in some faux stitching with a Tim Holtz Distress Marker in mowed lawn. \u00a0Then to finish off the edge of the card I inked the edge lightly with more of the Adirondack Juniper ink.<\/p>\n
